INA Variable Cam Timers
Cam phasing and control components for optimal timing
The variable cam timer (VCT) can phase the valve timing in an internal combustion engine. It provides early opening or late closing of the intake and exhaust valves. Optimizing camshaft phasing reduces exhaust emissions, reduces fuel consumption, and improves performance and driver comfort. Camshaft phasing is an important element today in developing downsized engines.
INA offers solenoid control valves, central magnets and adjustment units; along with a line of camshaft phasing units for specific vehicles
INA currently produces VCT systems for both chain and belt timed engines. VCTs can be controlled either hydraulically or electronically.
